Picking up where I left off

So now that I’ve had my second child (another boy named Evan), and I’m back down to the weight I was when I last weighed in, I’m picking up where I left off.

Finding time to exercise when you’re a stay at home mom to two small children is really hard.  I’m busy with them during the day, and my husband doesn’t get home until late most nights. Now that summer is nearly here and it’s FINALLY s tarting to warm up, I’m going to take the boys for walks, and take them to the playground and call that my main source of exercise and when I have time I’ll do pilates and tae bo.

I have been steadily losing the baby weight thanks to breastfeeding which I think burns over 600 calories a day.  I’m hoping the weight continues to melt off now that I’m at my pre-baby weight.

On temporary diet leave

So I thought I should probably update all my buddies as to why I haven’t been on here and why I haven’t updated anything!

I’m almost 8 months pregnant with my second child.  Another little boy!! :)

But trust me, when he’s a couple months old, I’ll be back here and back on the weightloss train!

Hope you’re all doing great! Keep up the good work!

Is my husband keeping me fat!??

So I haven’t been here in a while.  I was really frustrated that I’m not losing any weight.  Or if I am…. it’s a very small amount.

Anyway.  My husband left on Sunday on business and will be gone until Saturday. It’s been nice not having to make dinner for someone else, especially because I can make just what I want. My mom also took my son Jacob for a couple of days so I can get some chores that I normally can’t do with him around.

This morning when I stepped on the scale I was SHOCKED to see that I’ve lost 3 lbs since Sunday!  I haven’t even been to the gym since LAST MONDAY!  I’m pretty sure it’s my husband keeping me fat. LOL

I guess we’ll see what happens when he’s back.  I better not gain any weight when he’s here or I’m sending him away! J

D*mN Scale

So, I’ve been exercising regularly, and staying well within my 29-34 point range everyday, but it’s not showing on the scale.

I thought for sure going from a sedentary life and eating junk every day to this; I’d see results within the first week or two.

I’m thinking about only weighing myself once a week from now on.  My weight fluctuates so much day to day, I can gain or lose up to 5 lbs from one day to the next, and that’s even when I weigh myself at the same time of day, with the same amount of clothes on, and with the scale being in the same spot every time.  Is that normal??

Or maybe I should toss the scale all together and keep track of my progress some other way.  LOL YEAH RIGHT!

Gym Routine

Hi Buddies!

Tonight I’m finally getting to the gym.  It’s been a LOOOONG time since I’ve actually worked out in a gym and I’m kind of nervous.

I’m hoping some of you can give me some advice, and maybe tell me what your gym routine is.

What are the best exercises to do at the gym? Should I warm up on the treadmill first? What have you had the most weight loss success with? Do you have any other advice for me?

Other than that, I’m doing pretty good with the WW points. It gets easier everyday. And I’m still trying to do Tae Bo and Pilates when I can. The scale isn’t showing any progress, but I’m feeling better and more energetic.

What can I eat???

So today was my first real official day at counting points…. It’s harder than I thought it was going to be! Mostly because I’m a grazer, and I am quickly seeing how I’m going to have to change that.  In order to keep track of how many points I’m consuming, I have to pay attention to how much actually goes in my mouth! LOL

My goal is 29 points per day and I’m determined not to use the 35 “extra” points for the whole week. Today I felt like I couldn’t eat anything I really wanted, even though people on WW say they eat what they like and what they want.  I’m sure I’ll get into the groove, but for now.. I feel hungry and deprived. :)
